On Saturday 5 September at 2.30pm we will celebrate the induction of our new Minister the Revd Steven Manders here at MUC.

Some of the congregation will know Steven when he was a member here and served as an Elder on Kirk Session. He studied Law and Divinity then for a time worked with the Church of Scotland Board of Social Responsibility and latterly with West Lothian Council as a Manager in Social Policy. He then trained for the Ministry studying both at the Scottish United Reformed and Congregational College in Glasgow and also at New College in Edinburgh. Following his ordination he has been based at Nairn URC since 2009. We look forward to welcoming Steven to MUC.

Holy Corner Booksale

Thursday, 26 February 2015

Books and volunteers wanted!

The Holy Corner Christian Aid Booksales is coming up fast - 9 to 16 May.

If you have any books, CDs, DVDs or music scores, please drop them into the church. And if you fancy helping out, the booksale always welcomes new volunteers. Please contact Dorothea in the church office.

For more information about the booksale, click here.

We finished the week of our Christian Aid Booksale with takings over £11,000 just for the books. When you take into account money received from door-to-door collections, we were able to contribute over £15,000 to Christian Aid.

We couldn't have done this without the tireless support and hard work of our team of volunteers over several weeks. Thank you again - to all our volunteers as well as to all of those who came and supported the booksale!
