This was the day when the Church School presented the story of the birth in Bethlehem.   It had some moments - the innkeeper seemed to take over the role of midwife, two of the kings appeared to come from a magical kingdom of giants, there seemed to be thousands of angels.  But the shepherds, (shepherds in Israel known to Old Testament scholars to be real rough characters and often villains) in our case behaved impeccably.

-Also today we welcomed back Janet de Vigne - fresh from her role in "Slumdog Millionaire" - who sang for us "Rejoice greatly" from Messiah, and Schubert's "Ave Maria".  Stunning soprano work!
